Elmont Chamber of Commerce: Introducing Elmont’s Very Own Map

In recent weeks, Elmont residents received a cartoon map of the entire Elmont community, as a courtesy of the Chamber of Commerce.

Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Charmayne’s Florist, Stop 20 Diner and the Nassau County Police Department’s Fifth Precinct (unmerged in November and slated to return February 2015) are just some of the many local businesses and community organizations featured on this map.

Long Island based company, MapToons, was commissioned by the Chamber of Commerce, and provided the artists who designed these “colorful” and “whimsical” maps as a powerful marketing tool.

You can view Elmont’s new map here, it’s online & interactive as well, letting residents, newcomers and visitors know exactly where local businesses are located and how to get to them.

Note: The map is mainly aesthetic and not to scale meaning it ought not be used in an emergency.
