Election Day Job Opportunity with Long Island Civic Engagement Table

Join a dynamic team in Long Island to register and mobilize voters in our communities for the 2014 election. During this critical election year, Make the Road New York, as part of the Long Island Civic Engagement Table and the Verrazano Civic Engagement Table, will be participating in a national project to test the highest-impact methods to engage low- and moderate-income people of color.

We’re looking for dozens of paid canvassers for our non-partisan Get Out the Vote operation! We are also hiring one part-time HR assistant.

Canvassers will work as a team to register voters at high traffic locations and going door-to-door throughout Long Island.

These are temporary, full-time positions which pay $12/hr. They’re exciting and intense – we’ll be knocking on doors across Nassau and Suffolk Counties – and they’re not for everyone.
