A performance by the Teen Advisory Group and staff of Elmont Public Library.
The library invites the community to attend it’s 75th anniversary celebration on September 20th:
“Please join the Elmont Memorial Library on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 11am to 4pm for our 75th Anniversary Celebration. Festivities will begin at 11am at our Outside Theatre Entrance with a few words from our Library Board of Trustees, our Director, Dr. Roger Podell, our Veterans and the leaders of our community.
We are looking forward to a day of celebration filled with many events for adults and children. The Library Theatre will be buzzing with wonderful musical performances for adults and exciting events for kids throughout the Library. Our local fire department will be paying us a visit with their vehicles in our parking lot for the community to explore.
There will also be a book sale of gently used and affordable books in our art gallery. And what’s a good party without balloons, giveaways and refreshments? We welcome you to stay and enjoy all of these events.
Additional parking will be available in the Alva T. Stanforth lot, just west of the Library. And, as always, all the events of the day are FREE and open to the public.”
